race route
Where runners go
A race route is the designated path or course that competitors follow in a race, whether running, cycling, driving, or sailing.
It encompasses the entire journey from start to finish, including turns, checkpoints, and terrain: The race route winds through downtown before finishing at the stadium.
Maps of race routes help participants prepare and spectators know where to watch.
