queue jumper
Impatient line cutter
A queue jumper is someone who cuts ahead of others waiting in line, violating the unwritten rules of orderly waiting.
The term is more common in British English, where queue is the standard word for a line of waiting people: The queue jumper pushed past everyone at the bus stop.
It extends to anyone who bypasses proper order—jumping a waiting list for housing or skipping ahead in immigration processing.
