pulse point
Where arteries surface
A pulse point is a place on the body where an artery runs close enough to the skin's surface that you can feel the heartbeat—the wrist, neck, temple, or inside of the elbow.
These spots are used to check heart rate and, in perfumery, to apply fragrance where body heat helps diffuse the scent: Dab perfume on your pulse points.
