price protection
Refund if cheaper
Price protection is a guarantee that if a product's price drops within a specified period after purchase, the buyer receives a refund of the difference.
Credit cards and retailers sometimes offer this as a benefit: I filed a price protection claim when the laptop went on sale two weeks after I bought it.
The term also applies to contracts that lock in prices against future increases.
