pressure suits
Astronaut protective wear
Pressure suits are specialized garments that maintain air pressure around the wearer's body in low-pressure environments—high altitudes, space, or underwater.
Unlike spacesuits, which also provide oxygen and thermal protection, pressure suits focus specifically on preventing the body from suffering decompression effects: Fighter pilots wear pressure suits above 50,000 feet.
The suits inflate to squeeze the body when ambient pressure drops dangerously low.
