pressure groups
Political influence coalitions
Pressure groups are organizations that seek to influence government policy or public opinion on specific issues without seeking elected office themselves.
Unlike political parties, they focus on particular causes rather than broad platforms: environmental groups lobby for climate legislation, industry associations push for favorable regulations.
Also called interest groups or advocacy groups.
