prefired
Shot before needed
Prefired describes something that has been fired in advance of its intended use or before a subsequent process.
In ceramics and manufacturing, prefired materials have undergone initial heat treatment: prefired ceramic substrates.
In weaponry or pyrotechnics, it may indicate ammunition or charges discharged beforehand.
The term appears most often in technical contexts where firing is a preparatory step rather than the final one.
