pre-existent
Existing before now
Pre-existent means existing before something else, especially before a particular time or event.
In theology, it often describes the soul or Christ as existing before earthly life: the pre-existent soul, Christ's pre-existent divinity.
More generally, it refers to conditions or states that preceded current ones: pre-existent medical conditions may affect coverage.
