post-service

Following military discharge

Post-service describes the period or activities following completion of service, most commonly military service.

A post-service career is what a veteran pursues after leaving the armed forces; post-service benefits are those available to former service members.

The term also applies to customer service contexts, referring to support or follow-up that occurs after a service has been rendered: The company's post-service survey helped them improve customer satisfaction.
