pool cue
Chalked wooden taper
A pool cue is the long, tapered stick used to strike balls in billiards, pool, and snooker.
The narrow end, called the tip, contacts the cue ball; the thicker end, the butt, is gripped by the player.
Quality cues are made of hardwood, often maple, and may be jointed for portability.
Also called a cue stick.
