pilgrimage paths
Holy travel ways
Pilgrimage paths are routes traditionally traveled by religious devotees journeying to sacred sites.
The Camino de Santiago across northern Spain is perhaps the most famous, but such paths exist across religions and continents—from Japan's Shikoku to England's Canterbury Way.
The term now extends to secular journeys with spiritual or transformative intent: She walked the pilgrimage path through her grandmother's homeland.
