photo restoration
Fixing old pictures
Photo restoration is the process of repairing damaged, faded, or deteriorated photographs to return them to their original appearance.
Scratches, tears, discoloration, and missing sections can be corrected through digital editing or traditional retouching techniques.
The term usually refers to work on old family photographs: She had her grandmother's wedding portrait professionally restored.
