patriotic anthems

Patriotic anthems are songs expressing devotion to one's country, typically performed at national ceremonies, sporting events, and official gatherings.

The term covers both official national anthems and unofficial songs celebrating national identity: The crowd rose for the patriotic anthems before the game.

Such songs often feature stirring melodies and lyrics about freedom, sacrifice, or national glory.
