pat hand
Stand-pat poker holding
A pat hand is a hand of cards that needs no improvement—one a player keeps as dealt rather than drawing new cards.
The term comes from poker and similar games where you can exchange cards.
By extension, any situation where you're satisfied with what you have and see no need for change: With three aces, she stood pat.
Someone who stands pat refuses to alter their position.
