pass fail
Two outcomes only
Pass fail describes a grading system with only two outcomes—satisfactory or unsatisfactory—rather than letter grades or percentages.
Students may choose pass fail courses to explore subjects outside their major without risking their GPA: I took organic chemistry pass fail.
Also written pass-fail or pass/fail.
