park entrance
Where trails begin
A park entrance is the point of entry to a park—a gate, archway, road, or pathway marking the boundary between outside and inside.
Large parks may have multiple entrances: We agreed to meet at the north park entrance.
The term applies equally to urban green spaces and vast national parks, though the latter often have staffed entrance stations where visitors pay fees.
