par 5
Eagle needs three
A par 5 is a golf hole designed to be completed in five strokes by a skilled player—typically the longest holes on a course, often exceeding 470 yards.
The term combines par (the expected score) with the stroke count: He eagled the par 5 on the back nine.
Par 3s and par 4s follow the same pattern for shorter holes.
