up to par

Meeting the standard

Up to par means meeting the expected standard or acceptable level of quality.

The phrase comes from golf, where par is the number of strokes a skilled player should need.

Something not up to par falls short of expectations: I haven't been feeling up to par lately.

The service wasn't up to par with what we're used to.
