paperwhites
Fragrant winter bulbs
Paperwhites are a variety of narcissus that bloom indoors in winter without requiring a cold period.
The fragrant white flowers grow from bulbs placed in shallow dishes of water and pebbles, making them popular holiday decorations: She forced paperwhites on the windowsill every December.
