panchromatic
Sees all wavelengths
Panchromatic describes photographic film or sensors sensitive to all colors of visible light, rendering them as appropriate shades of gray.
Before panchromatic film became standard, early photography captured blue light well but made reds appear too dark.
The term occasionally extends beyond photography to mean responsive across a full spectrum: a panchromatic approach to musical genres.
