overwaxed
Excessively coated, slippery
Overwaxed describes something that has had too much wax applied to it, whether a surfboard, a car, a floor, or skin after hair removal.
The excess creates problems: a surfboard becomes slippery rather than grippy, a floor gets dangerously slick, or freshly waxed skin becomes irritated.
The salon left my legs overwaxed and raw.
In automotive detailing, an overwaxed finish may look hazy or attract dust rather than repelling it.
