overgenerosity

Too much liberality

Overgenerosity is generosity taken to excess—giving so freely that it becomes impractical, uncomfortable, or even harmful.

The word often carries gentle criticism: His overgenerosity left him unable to pay his own bills.

It can also describe gifts so lavish they embarrass the recipient or create unwanted obligation.
