oval tracks
Loops for racing
Oval tracks are closed racing circuits with a roughly elliptical shape, used primarily for auto racing and horse racing.
NASCAR and IndyCar compete on oval tracks, where cars turn only left and speeds stay high.
The term distinguishes these venues from road courses with varied turns: He's dominant on oval tracks but struggles on street circuits.
