on demand
Whenever you want
On demand describes goods or services available whenever requested, rather than on a fixed schedule.
The phrase gained prominence with digital technology: streaming video on demand replaced broadcast schedules, and on-demand printing produces books only when ordered.
The app lets you watch movies on demand.
Something available on demand implies immediate or near-immediate fulfillment, though the reality sometimes falls short of the promise.
