oil refining
Crude becomes gasoline
Oil refining is the industrial process of converting crude oil into usable products like gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and lubricants.
Refineries heat crude oil and separate its components by boiling point, then chemically transform these fractions into specific fuels and petrochemicals.
The refinery processes about 200,000 barrels a day.
