nonusing
Refraining from use
Nonusing describes someone who doesn't use something, particularly drugs or alcohol.
The term appears most often in recovery and clinical contexts: a nonusing addict, nonusing members of the support group.
It can also describe abstention from other substances or technologies: nonusing smokers who quit ten years ago.
