noninterlaced
No alternating lines
Noninterlaced describes a display method where each frame is drawn completely in a single pass, line by line from top to bottom.
This contrasts with interlaced displays, which draw odd and even lines in alternating passes.
Noninterlaced monitors—also called progressive scan—produce a more stable image with less flicker, making them standard for computer displays: a noninterlaced monitor running at 60Hz.
