non-pecuniary
Not about money
Non-pecuniary describes things that cannot be measured in money.
Legal contexts distinguish between pecuniary damages (lost wages, medical bills) and non-pecuniary damages (pain, suffering, loss of enjoyment).
The settlement included compensation for both pecuniary and non-pecuniary losses.
Beyond law, non-pecuniary applies to any benefit or cost that isn't financial: job satisfaction, prestige, personal fulfillment.
