non-native species
Introduced wildlife population
A non-native species is a plant, animal, or other organism living outside its natural range, introduced deliberately or accidentally by human activity.
Also called exotic, alien, or introduced species.
Some non-native species become invasive, outcompeting local wildlife and disrupting ecosystems: Kudzu is a non-native species that has overrun much of the American South.
