night people

After-dark crowd

Night people are those who prefer staying up late and feel most alert or productive during nighttime hours.

The term contrasts with early risers or "morning people." Night people may work night shifts, but the phrase more often describes a natural preference: I've always been night people—I do my best thinking after midnight.
