Late night work
Third shift is the overnight work schedule, typically running from around 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
In workplaces that operate around the clock—factories, hospitals, warehouses—employees rotate through first, second, and third shifts.
Third shift workers often speak of the adjustment required: I've been on third shift for six months and still can't sleep right.
