night games
Sports under lights
Night games are outdoor activities, typically sports or recreational games, played after dark.
The term often evokes informal neighborhood play like capture the flag or flashlight tag, though it also applies to professional sporting events held under stadium lights.
We played night games in the backyard every summer.
The atmosphere of playing in darkness adds excitement and a sense of adventure, particularly for children.
