national mobilization
Wartime resource marshaling
National mobilization is the process of organizing a country's resources, industries, and population for a major collective effort—typically war, but sometimes disaster response or other national emergencies.
It involves converting peacetime production to military needs, drafting citizens for service, and redirecting economic activity toward a unified goal: The attack prompted immediate national mobilization.
The term can also describe intensive civilian campaigns: a national mobilization against the pandemic.
