mousemat
Desktop tracking pad
A mousemat is a flat pad providing a smooth surface for operating a computer mouse.
The term is more common in British English; Americans typically say mousepad.
Basic versions are simple rubber-backed fabric rectangles, while gaming mousemats may be larger and optimized for precise tracking.
