motorway junction
Road network node
A motorway junction is a point where a motorway intersects with another road, allowing vehicles to enter or exit the motorway via slip roads or ramps.
In British usage, junctions are typically numbered sequentially along the motorway, making them useful reference points for navigation and traffic reports: Take the M25 and exit at junction 15.
The term is primarily British; Americans would say highway exit or interchange.
