moneywort

Yellow wetland groundcover

Moneywort is a creeping plant with rounded leaves that resemble small coins, grown as ground cover or in hanging baskets.

The name applies to several species, most commonly *Lysimachia nummularia*, also called creeping Jenny.

It spreads readily in moist soil and can become invasive: The moneywort has taken over the whole garden bed.
