millings
Leftover road fragments
Millings are the material produced by milling—grinding, cutting, or pulverizing a substance.
In road construction, millings are the ground-up asphalt removed when resurfacing pavement: They spread millings on the gravel driveway.
The term also applies to metal shavings or grain particles from industrial milling processes.
