milk pail
Barn bucket accessory
A milk pail is a bucket used for collecting milk during hand-milking of cows, goats, or other dairy animals.
Traditional milk pails have a partially covered top to prevent contamination while allowing the milker to direct streams of milk into the opening: She carried the full milk pail to the dairy house.
