middle-click
Scroll wheel tap
Middle-click refers to pressing the center button or scroll wheel on a computer mouse, distinct from left-click and right-click.
In most contexts, middle-clicking a link opens it in a new browser tab, making it a favorite shortcut for power users who browse with many tabs open.
Middle-click can also close tabs when applied to the tab itself.
I middle-click everything so I don't lose my place.
