Metrosexuals is the plural of metrosexual, a man—typically straight and urban—who takes unusual interest in his appearance, grooming, and fashion.
The term emerged in the 1990s to describe men who adopted style habits traditionally associated with gay men or women: The metrosexuals at his gym spent more time on skincare than weightlifting.
The word combines metropolitan with sexual, though sexuality isn't the point—aesthetics is.
