menopausal
Past childbearing years
Menopausal describes someone experiencing or relating to menopause—the stage when menstruation permanently ceases, typically occurring in women between ages 45 and 55.
The term covers both the transition itself and its associated symptoms: menopausal hot flashes, menopausal mood swings.
Used loosely, it can dismiss someone as hormonal or irritable: Don't mind her, she's menopausal.
