marbleize

Give stone appearance

To marbleize is to give something the appearance of marble—typically through painting, dyeing, or finishing techniques that create the stone's characteristic veined patterns.

Paper, book edges, and decorative surfaces are commonly marbleized: The endpapers were beautifully marbleized in swirls of blue and gold.

Also spelled marbleise in British English.
