lunch period
Midday meal time
A lunch period is the designated time during a school or work day set aside for eating the midday meal.
In schools, lunch period typically falls between late morning and early afternoon, lasting thirty minutes to an hour: I have lunch period right after math class.
The term emphasizes the scheduled block of time rather than the meal itself.
