long-press
Sustained screen contact
Long-press is a touchscreen gesture where you hold your finger on an element for an extended moment rather than tapping briefly.
This action typically reveals additional options, context menus, or editing modes that a quick tap wouldn't trigger.
Long-press the app icon to delete it.
I had to long-press to get the copy-paste menu.
The gesture has become standard across smartphones and tablets, functioning much like a right-click does on desktop computers.
