single tap
Quick screen press
A single tap is one quick touch on a touchscreen or trackpad, the most basic gesture for selecting items, activating buttons, or following links on smartphones and tablets.
It functions like a mouse click in traditional computing.
The term distinguishes this gesture from double tap, long press, or swipe: Single tap to open, double tap to zoom.
