light play
Illumination as art
Light play is the interaction of light with surfaces, spaces, or objects, especially when visually interesting or deliberately crafted.
Architects and photographers attend to light play—how sunlight moves across a room, how shadows shift through the day: The light play through the blinds created stripes on the wall.
In BDSM contexts, light play refers to activities on the gentler end of the spectrum, as opposed to heavy or edge play.
