lid margin
Where lashes emerge from
The lid margin is the edge of the eyelid where the skin meets the inner mucous membrane.
This narrow strip contains the eyelash follicles and the openings of oil glands that help lubricate the eye.
Inflammation along the lid margin is called blepharitis: The doctor noted crusting along the lid margins.
