license revocation
Official authorization withdrawal
License revocation is the permanent cancellation of a license by the issuing authority, typically as punishment for serious violations.
Unlike suspension, which is temporary, revocation means the license is fully terminated: After his third DUI, he faced license revocation.
The holder must usually reapply from scratch to obtain a new license, if eligible at all.
