letter boards
Slotted message signs
Letter boards are display boards with rows of horizontal grooves that hold removable letters, allowing messages to be changed at will.
The classic version uses white plastic letters on a black felt background.
Once common for church announcements, movie theater marquees, and restaurant menus, letter boards became popular home décor in the 2010s for displaying quotes, announcements, or witty sayings: The letter board in the nursery announced the baby's birth weight.
