lens implants
Surgical vision correction
Lens implants are artificial lenses surgically placed in the eye, typically to replace the natural lens after cataract removal or to correct severe vision problems.
The implant becomes a permanent part of the eye, eliminating or reducing dependence on glasses: She got lens implants and no longer needs contacts.
Also called intraocular lenses or IOLs.
